Battle for the Ring is a four-day medieval-themed foam fighting extravaganza. BftR follows the Belegarth Medieval Combat Society national rules and is hosted by the Belegarth and Dagorhir realms of California, with help from fighters across the country.

Do you have what it takes to create the most powerful army in your quest for the ONE RING? This year's Battle for the Ring, Heroes vs. Villains, will feature an all-inclusive, event-spanning quest to recruit a fighting force capable of controlling the Ring to Rule Them All. But will your army fight to save Middle Earth from the destructive power of the Ring, or will you instead use it to bring Middle Earth to its knees beneath your rule?
This year, everything counts, so choose your army carefully. While you may succeed in creating the largest army, it may be far from the strongest. Seek out the most talented individuals--warriors, commanders, artisans, performers--to join your cause. Each of these recruits will bring you one step closer to your goal of bringing light to Middle Earth...or covering it in darkness.
