Come celebrate the 30th anniversary of the California Festival of Beers - Memorial Day Weekend May 27th and 28th!

The California Festival of Beers is one of the largest and oldest regional beer festivals in California. This year is a very special as we celebrate our 30th Annual California Festival of Beers. Throughout the past years, attendees have sampled, learned, and enjoyed beers from breweries locally and from around the world. Growing from a humble event in the back parking lot of a local pub in San Luis Obispo, the California Festival of Beers has become one of the largest and oldest festivals paying tribute to beer.

BeerFest, as it is affectionately named, has become a San Luis Obispo institution and continues to brings over 3,000 attendees each year to California's Central Coast. Because of the event's popularity, each year the event sells out.

The Festival is a benefit event managed and maintained by Hospice of San Luis Obispo County (Hospice SLO County), a non-profit grief counseling organization, that receives all of the proceeds.

This year the California Festival of Beers will continue in its tradition of craft beers, live music, and sunshine. Each year the Festival draws a wider selection of beer, dining, entertainment and sponsors than years past, and this year is no exception. The celebration begins on Friday in the Alex Madonna Expo Center, with the Connoisseur Tasting "Arts and Drafts" featuring craft beer along with delicious local cuisine. The event will also showcase local artists' work and live entertainment. On Saturday, the celebration continues with the Grand Tasting taking place in the Madonna Inn Meadows, a beautiful expanse of lawn nestled between parks, mountains, and hotels in San Luis Obispo, California. The meadow is the perfect location to spend the day enjoying the Grand Tasting with more of your friends and grass between your toes.
