One of the finest family activities in the Western United States takes place in Bridgeport each year. Its the old fashioned, small town Fourth of July celebration. This year Bridgeport celebrates from July 1st to July 4th.

Find a good spot along Main Street for the annual parade. You'll see entries from old and young alike. Perhaps you would like to join in the activity!

No matter where you might be staying during the week, plan to bring the family to Bridgeport for at least a day of thrilling entertainment. The community is in the northern region of Mono County. To give you an idea of travel time, its about 50 minutes north of Mammoth Lakes.

In Bridgeport, you can see for yourself what an old time, all American town gathering is all about. Theres literally something for everyone to do; from toddlers to grandparents, activities abound. See the complete activities listing!

The festivities will start on Friday, July 1st with Arts and Crafts Festival and a Tri-Tip Shoot. On Saturday, July 2nd, there will be Arts and Crafts, Book Sale, Fun Kid Activities and The Ranch Rodeo at the north end of town. Then Sunday you can take part in church services on the Courthouse Lawn at 9 am, before joining in the Horseshow Tournament or attending the Ranch Rodeo. The Fourth of July will see a karaoke sing along, arm wrestling and much more until evening when the traditional and spectacular fireworks display at the Bridgeport Airport.

Other activities during the weekend celebration include a Turkey Shoot, a Rodeo (tickets available at event), a pancake breakfast, running events, a Main Street Parade, mud volleyball, a greased pole climbing contest and even a rubber duck race.
