Description:

From Gold Country Pro Rodeo Website:

April 28-29, 2018

The beautiful, historic city of Auburn has been hosting a rodeo for over 50 years and the tradition continues. The Gold Country Pro Rodeo is co-produced by Cotton Rosser/FlyingU Rodeo Company and EzEvents, Inc. Cotton Rosser has been producing professional rodeos since 1959.

The rodeo is held at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn, California, in the stadium named after Vernon McCann. McCann, (1900-1978) was an Auburn native who lived his entire life promoting and protecting the city of Auburn. He was the business manager for the Auburn Journal, brought the district fair (Gold Country Fair) to Auburn, was instrumental in bringing Highway 49 to Auburn, and was active in the Auburn Fire Department for 50 years.

We kick off the Gold Country Pro Rodeo celebration at 6 pm on Wednesday night at Auburn Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram with a dummy roping contest, food, and fun. Friday is the official Pre-Party at 5:30 10:00 pm at the Auburn Alehouse. The rodeo runs two days both Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine. You won't want to miss the pro bull riding, bronc riding, and team roping, to name just a few of the highlights of the rodeo program. This year we have added even more fun in the KIDS ZONE too! Eat some delicious grub, drink a brew, buy some new western duds, and dance the night away at the SECOND ANNUAL RODEO STREET PARTY on the streets of Old Town Auburn sponsored by Finance of America Mortgage, Cibo7, and hosted by Coors and country radio favorite 101.9 the WOLF. From bull riding to mutton bustin, there is a lot to see and do. So bring your family and friends and have some fun!
