| Description: | Walnut Creek Bead & Design Show returns to Walnut Creek at the Walnut Creek Marriott this March 23-25, 2018. This 3-day show celebrates handcraft and jewelry design, bringing together artistic beads, gemstones, one-of-a-kind jewelry, designer clothing, jewelry-making supplies, and vintage items. No matter what your passion, this show offers a dynamic shopping experience, and you might want to take part in a workshop taught by artists in residence, that are offered at all skill levels in categories such as jewelry design, metal work, wirework, crystal setting, fiber arts, leather working bead making, art clay silver, hand knotting, mixed media, chainmaille, and enameling. Artists and merchants are chosen by invitation and juried application, and include both traditional and contemporary artisans, who will showcase a vast list of accessories and unusual items such as lampwork glass beads, one-of-a-kind jewelry design, handmade hats, nomadic jewelry, vintage textiles, hand-cut gemstones, mustika pearls, polymer cane, painted linen, tribal clothing, hand-dyed silks, raku beads, hill tribe silver, jade, hand tooled leather shoes, batik, enamel inlay, embroideries, and metaphysical items.
