| Description: | From Vacaville Oktoberfest Website: Its time to raise a glass and toast to Oktoberfest, a proud tradition in Germany since 1810 and celebrated by millions of people around the world. Vacavilles own Pure Grain German Bakery will once again host a one-day version of the popular two-week festival on Saturday, September 21nd from 11AM-6PM, transforming Town Square into a festive German beer garden.
The date coincides with the opening of Oktoberfest in Munich. Echoing tradition, Vacaville Mayor Len Augustine will be on hand to kick off the celebration with the traditional tapping of the first beer barrel at 12:00 Noon. Live music will be provided by the famous The Gruber Family Band from 12-5PM. Outdoor table seating will be available along with a free game zone for kids and adults alike.
