The Colony Days celebration includes a day-long festival on the first Saturday of October in and around Sunken Gardens. The event starts with a pancake breakfast ($5/adult; $3/child) at 7 a.m. on the corner of El Camino Real and West Mall; followed by the parade starting at 10 a.m. After the parade, enjoy the historic Tent City re-enactment, wiener and small dog races, pet costume contest, and food, nonprofit and retail vendors. There will also be tours of the historic city hall and the Atascadero Historical Society museum will be open.
